VUID validation coverage documentation has been updated to represent the validation layer VUID coverage status.<\/li>\n<li>The Vulkan Configurator (vkconfig) has been updated to improve quality and stability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 id=\"toc_5\" class=\"null\"><strong>Windows Highlights<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The Vulkan Capabilities viewer is now available on the Windows start menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"null\"><strong>macOS Highlights<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated to MoltenVK version 1.2.9 with improvements in quality &amp; stability.<\/li>\n<li>Added symbolic links to the \/include and \/bin folders in the \/iOS install directory.<\/li>\n<li>Added a version of setup-env.sh for use with iOS in the \/iOS folder.<\/li>\n<li>The shader toolchain in the linked \/bin folder is compatible with iOS as is the \/headers folder.<\/li>\n<li>The setup-env.sh script sets up the VULKAN_SDK environment variable to point to the iOS libraries and frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Using the Xcode generator with cmake will produce usable iOS projects.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/KhronosGroup\/Vulkan-Samples\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/KhronosGroup\/Vulkan-Samples\/\">Vulkan Samples SDK<\/a>\u00a0has been updated to be compatible\u00a0with this SDK.<\/li>\n<li>Added extension: VK_EXT_host_image_copy<\/li>\n<li>Added MVK_CONFIG_SHADER_DUMP_DIR configuration parameter to optionally dump shaders to files.<\/li>\n<li>Several updates to SPIRV-Cross for MSL.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deprecation Notice:<\/strong> Future versions of the Apple Vulkan SDK will no longer be distributed as a .DMG (mountable device volume).
