The prior SDK supported Vulkan header 1.3.211.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>New Features Added to all SDKs<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>AMD Memory Allocator<\/li>\n<li>Validation Layer Fine-Grained Locking is enabled by default. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vulkan.lunarg.com\/doc\/sdk\/1.3.216.0\/windows\/fine_grained_locking_usage.html\">See the Fine Grain Locking documentation<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Vkconfig has been enhanced\u00a0so as not to emit an error when all layers are not the same version<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>List of the New Extensions in the 1.3.216.0 SDK<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Note that extensions are optional and may not be implemented by the underlying driver\/ICD. Applications can now query for the presence of these new features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>VK_KHR_fragment_shader_barycentric<\/li>\n<li>VK_AMD_shader_early_and_late_fragment_tests<\/li>\n<li>VK_EXT_image_compression_control<\/li>\n<li>VK_EXT_pipeline_properties<\/li>\n<li>VK_EXT_subpass_merge_feedback<\/li>\n<li>VK_KHR_ray_tracing_maintenance1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>macOS Updates<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the updates listed above, the macOS SDK now supports a Vulkan Loader that recognizes the Vulkan Loader extension, VK_KHR_portability_enumeration, which enables or disables enumeration of portability (non-conformant) implementations.
